spot-pack or drop camp for backpackers

  • This service offers avid backpackers and hikers the freedom of experiencing the backcountry on their own and without the added weight of a heavy pack.
  • This service is for hikers somewhat familiar with the country with their own itinerary already in mind.
  • You decide where you want your gear dropped off and we do the rest.
  • We allow 70lbs of gear per side of pack animal.
  • We meet you and your gear at the trailhead, pack-up your equipment and transport it by horseback to your campsite.
  • We then return at a prearranged date and time to pack your gear out of the backcountry.
  • You may also choose to ride into or out of your destination.
  • Cost is based upon the number of horses used regardless of whether they are ridden or packed.

Multi-Day Base Camp Adventure Fishing or Photography

  • This multi-day mountain lake fly fishing trip begins with a guided horseback ride into your reserved camp located in the heart of the White Cloud Wilderness
  • Your cozy camp will consist of 14×16 sleep tents complete with wood stoves and comfortable cots with four (4) inch foams.
  • All meals are served family-style.  Our covered kitchen is completely set-up with propane stoves, bar-b-que facility and wash up area.
  • We bring all the fresh essentials and more to offer a variety of scrumptious grilled entrees while you concentrate your efforts on “matching the hatch.”
  • Our knowledgeable fly fishing guides will also instruct you on techniques if you are new to the sport.  
  • If more photographic opportunity is what you’re looking for or just a change of scenery, you may choose to hike to one of several other lates in the immediate area, too.

guided backpacking

  • This service is designed for persons or groups who enjoy the security of hiking with an experienced trip guide.
  • Groups or individuals provide all their own equipment, camping ear, sleeping bags, cook gear and groceries for the trip.
  • Your guide comes self-sufficient with his/her own gear ready to go!
  • Your guide provides knowledge of the specific area both on and off trails, will demonstrate and utilize low impact camping techniques and will provide area interpretation.
  • Specific itineraries are pre-planned based upon your ability level and expectations.  
  • Number of days can vary and group size limitations will conform to Forest Service regulations.

$425/Day/Guide
